Episode #96: How To Pick The Right Extracurriculars So You’re Not Wasting Your Time

On today’s podcast episode, I am coaching one of my Passion Project Bootcamp students, Maya. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how I coach my student through me taking her through the process of picking the right extracurriculars.

So often students spend a lot of time on things that aren’t helpful or won’t make a big difference in their college application. Your time is valuable, and I want to make sure that you’re focusing on the right things and making the best use of your time, each and every day.

To learn the 4 strategies that help our students get accepted into amazing colleges using their Passion Projects, check out our free training at https://juliekimconsulting.com/masterclass. Not only will you learn about Passion Projects and research positions, but there are also monthly live Q &A sessions to get your personal questions answered!

As always, if you have questions please reach out to our support team at info@juliekimconsulting.com, and I’d love to connect on Instagram – I’m at http://instagram.com/julie_kim7.

I hope you enjoy this episode with Maya, and I’ll see you back here next week for a new episode!

Everyone’s story is different. What you experience might be very different from what your friends experience.
Not everyone knows everything before they start.

We can’t live with fear and we have to know that we got this. Every day we have to start with the mindset that we can do it, and that we have the qualifications to do it.
You need to treat your email outreach like a science experiment. If you send out about 10 emails, you will get two or three responses back.

Getting into Ivy League & Top-tier colleges doesn’t require perfection.

I repeat: You do NOT have to be perfect.

You also don’t have to spend a million hours volunteering, get perfect test scores, or be a star athlete.

What is required is understanding How to STAND OUT.
