03 Dec Episode #81: How Rachel Landed 2 Research Positions (During COVID-19)
Today I’m so excited to be interviewing another one of the students inside my program! Her name is Rachel, and you’re going to learn how she was able to create so many wins and accomplishments, even during COVID-19!
Rachel landed not one, but TWO research positions, including one with Columbia University and one with Rutgers University. She also was able to collaborate with three students inside my program, as well as getting in contact and building a relationship with the largest local newspaper in her region. You’ll hear exactly how she did it in this interview!
These types of things are exactly what I teach inside of my paid programs, so if you’re feeling like you lost out on opportunities due to the pandemic, I really want you to check out my free masterclass at https://juliekimconsulting.com/masterclass. This is where I share strategies that will help you land positions, create amazing passion projects and get awesome results for your college admissions journey. This is a brand new masterclass, so even if you’ve attended one of my masterclasses in the past, you’re going to want to attend this one too.

TUNE IN BELOW:
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT IN THIS EPISODE:
- How Rachel’s passion eventually led her to fill a need for elementary and middle school students
- Her experiences and the insights she gained with the Professor Outreach Program
- The way that Rachel took her Passion Project to the next level with an ambassador program
- Why you shouldn’t wait for everything to be perfect before you get started
- What setbacks she faced during the process (and how she overcame each of them)
I feel like a lot of the times fear gets in people’s way, and you should definitely not let that get happen.
With this program you really learn to focus on what you’re most passionate about, and just have one that thing. Don’t have everything super spread out and then not be able to achieve it.
Even though you may know what you’re doing, you can always learn something more with help from someone else.
In so many respects, there are so many things that I’ve learned that have affected me in so many different ways.
