Episode #108: Getting accepted into your college will NOT make you happy

As much as I love talking about strategies and action steps to take to get accepted into your dream college, for today’s episode I wanted to look at things a little differently.

I want to share with you a bit about the meaning that society places on college, so that you can step back and think about why you are doing all of this in the first place.

Have you registered for our free masterclass yet? Inside my free masterclass, I’ll be revealing how the college admissions process is changing, especially with Covid-19 in 2021, and what you can do to make sure that you’re not making any mistakes. Plus, I’ll be showing how you can implement a step-by-step strategy to get accepted into your dream college. You can register for the free masterclass here at https://juliekimconsulting.com/masterclass.

TUNE IN BELOW:

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Why you can’t only want to get accepted into your dream college for external approval
  • How life will present itself as a series of problems that you must face and learn from
  • What will happen ultimately if you buy into the societal norms
  • Why focusing on your passion will pay off in the long run

NOTABLE QUOTES:

USC and Harvard did not make me happy. I thought `{`getting accepted into`}` these dream colleges of mine would bring me happiness, but it did not.
Society telling you that you need to get into these colleges and that will make you happy, it’s complete BS.
Problems are not really problems. They are just lessons disguised as problems.
When you start to buy into societal norms, you start to neglect yourself.
