Episode #100: 3 Things You Must Do During Summer Break

Let’s talk about summer break! You may be wondering why I’m talking about summer break in this episode, as it’s just May when I’m recording it. That is because you really need to be planning and thinking ahead in the college admissions process. So today, I’m sharing a recent Facebook Live I did that reveals the 3 things you MUST do during your summer break to make the best use of your time, and to put you in the best position for getting accepted to your dream college.

TUNE IN BELOW:

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT IN THIS EPISODE:

  • How you can best use your summer break to focus on getting an internship or a research assistant position
  • Why I don’t like the concept of being in a summer program, and what I recommend doing instead
  • What you can do during these critical summer months to create your passion project
  • The ways to prep for your SAT and ACT, without spreading yourself too thin during the academic year

NOTABLE QUOTES:

As long as you show up, you’re conscious and you’re intentional about what you’re doing, then you will get to the goal that you really desire.
I didn’t really like the concept of being in a summer program, because it felt more like a continuation of school, and I wanted to experience more of the real life.
If you try to balance SAT, ACT and GPA during your academic year, you are spreading yourself too thin.
You cannot fake your way `{`into college`}`. You cannot try to do a lot of different things because everyone else is doing it and hope for the best. You need to be you.
